28 August 2012 – Kogelberg Reserve in Kleinmond

Kogelberg Nature Reserve near Kleinmond, South Africa

S34°19.871 E18°59.075

This was a quick climb up the mountain side to reach MacDonald’s Hotel – a cache dedicated to all those Happy Meal toys we all have lying around…

Size for size, the 100 000 hectare UNESCO registered Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve is home to the most complex biodiversity on our planet with over 1880 different plant species already logged.  The next richest is the South American rainforest with 420 species per 10000 square kilometres.

This was Day 3 of 30 consecutive caching days.
