4-8 February 2012 – Jumping along the Crags

To celebrate Blonde Suikerbos’s birthday, we decided to mark it with a half-week holiday along the Garden Route.  We enjoyed the typical road trip – a quick drink in Swellendam, lunch at the Blue Olive in Wilderness and a braai at our cosy wooden cabin at Moonshine on Whiskey Creek located on the Crags in Plettenberg Bay.

We hiked the creek, visited Old Nick’s and Thyme and Again’s Farmstall, we walked the Tsitsikamma forests and celebrated a drink at the Dalene Matthee memorial, before ferrying ourselves off to watch the sun set over the Knysna Heads.  We traversed Nature’s Valley, enjoyed sundowners on the Lookout Deck and watched noisy, colourful birds ruffle their feathers at Birds of Eden.  But, everything was leading up to…
